Situated in the historic centre of Lugo, the Ala D'Oro Hotel, is the former mansion of the Conti Rossi family, one of the most important aristocratic families of the city. The building, constructed by Count Giovanni Rossi, in the first half of the 18th century, hosted one of the most important literary groups of the early 19th century, including Giacomo Leopardi, Ugo Foscolo, Antonio Canova, Gioacchino Rossini, Vincenzo Monti, George Byron and many more. In 1952 the building was converted into a hotel. Since then, the Ala D'Oro Hotel has been managed with passion by the Nostri family, and over the years has undergone considerable modernisation and rebuilding.
The hotel Ala D'Oro features a spacious TV lounge, a free Internet Point, a bar, with vaulted ceilings and restaurant.
